Welcome to the heart of our business. You know the old saying, "They don't make 'em like they used to?" This rings very true for us with some of our tools of the trade. Most of the hand tools and machinery we use today are 100 years old or better, some coming out of retirement from antique collections. This is how we are able to achieve the very high quality and longevity of all our handcrafted products, the same high quality that you expect in your Antiques today.
The proprietor, Richard Mocon, has been a saddle and harness maker by trade for more than 40 years and drawing on his experience is able to produce or repair most anything made of leather, vinyl, nylon or canvas. In the picture below (right side), we have used a standard shirt pattern and a light deerskin to produce a very light but durable garment. These can be made any size, with pockets or without and the suede leather turned anywhere for a nice contrast. This deerskin shirt may also have a variety of different fasteners on the front, bone buttons, domes, antler slices or brass buttons. This shirt comes with antler slices buttons, a suede yolk line on the front and back and has one pocket on the chest.
We not only manufacture most of the leather products in the store, but we also repair a vast array of things that are not listed. To give you some idea....items we make and/or repair.

The Showroom
Our 5200 sq.ft. showroom is chocked full of Canadian Handcrafts. We carry a wide and varied selection of authentic Native crafts from across Canada, from British Columbia to the East Coast. WE have beadwork from Churchill Manitoba, soapstone carvings from Eskimos in the Northwest Territories and from the Six Nations Reserve in Brantford, ON. Our quilts come from New Brunswick, sheepskin slippers and moccasins from Quebec and the war shields and dreamcatchers are made in Ontario. These are only a few examples from the extensive area we cover to obtain authentic Canadian and native made handcrafts.
Much of our inventory changes from season to season, so if you are interested in a particular item, please ask as we may have something close to it, or be able to find it for you. Once again, things change quite frequently and the list is quite varied. Here we will try to give you some idea as to the content we carry in the showroom part of our shop.
